Education is imparted to all sections of the society without discrimination of caste, creed or religion. The Education Board of Shri Gujarati Samaj, Indore felt the necessity of starting schools and college in lower cost and beneficial to the Society.
Mission
Shri Gujarati Samaj has contributed largely to the educational scenario of Indore. Shri Gujarati Samaj is Non Profit earning trust where profit is invested for welfare of students only, no profit is taken out for other activities.
The main aim of the Shri Gujarati Samaj is the service without any self interest.
History
Shri Gujarati Samaj, is well known for quality education, has a golden history in the field of education. It has been serving the society in the field of education since 95 years. The dream of a few Gujarati families to educate their own children gradually became a dream for the whole of the society and became a reality in the form of Shri Gujarati Samaj. The institution which was limited to a single room has now becomes a large institution owning 3 large campuses.
At present, Shri Gujarati Samaj is serving the population of Indore as a dedicated education and social organization. There are 9 colleges and 6 schools running by Shri Gujarati Samaj with around 1250 teachers and other employees where 24168 students are studying towards their better future. It is a matter of pride for the Samaj that the stars of Guajarati are sparkling at the top positions. For the convenience of school students Shri Gujarati Samaj is running 72 buses mostly at every routes of city.
Along with the traditional course samaj is also contributing to the Medical field, professional and B.Ed. course. To educate students in the Medical field Shri Gujarati Samaj is running a college named as SKRP Gujarati Homeopathic Medical College and Research Centre. In 2005 the samaj started a B.Ed College to contribute more in the area of education. Moreover, in 2006 Shri Gujarati Samaj also started a new college for which Shri Deepchandbhai Gardi Parmarthic Charitable Trust has donated Rs.21 lakhs in the memory of his brother Late Shri Jayantibhai Sanghvi. Now this college is known as Shri Jayantilal Hirachand Sanghvi Gujarati Innovative |College of Commerce & Science to educate students with aim to make them perfect professional with social and ethical values. Similarly in 2007, keeping in view the importance of pharmacy, the Samaj opened a pharmacy college and for the name of this college Nutanben Mansukhlal Turakhiya Public Trust, Mumbai has donated a sum of Rs.22, 61,000/- Today it is named as Smt. Nutanben Mansukhlal Turakhiya Gujarati College of Pharmacy.
Apart from the educational activities, Shri Gujarati Samaj is also working for the social cause of society. Samaj organizes various linguistic and cultural exchange programs are organized from time to time The Samaj has built R .R. Contractor Guest House for the convenience of travellers and 200 people can be accommodated here .looking towards the increasing number of travellers Shri Gujarati Samaj has built a New Guest House with all modern facilities having 20 A.C. Rooms, 2 common Hall and lift. Due to the increasing number of Gujarati Members Samaj has built a Wadi for Marriage Programmes etc. With this facility Samaj has opened a new Health Centre in the basement of the new guest house. This Centre has many ultra modern machines & is being run successfully. The annual fee of the Health Centre is Rs.120/- per had and this Gymnasium is benefiting many Gujarati Families.
Under the Homeopathic College 8 OPD’s are being run where at Minimum Charges treatment is given for all. Last year 17,276 Men, 29,759 Women & 6,568 children were treated in all 53,603 patients were treated.
To make Gujarati Women self dependent Shri Gujarati Samaj Women are given free sewing Machines. Up to now 1,030 women have got certificate and sewing machines.
Shri Gujarati Samaj is also open to the thought of social service and the following charitable service is being run by it.
